It is difficult to imagine what saying goodbye to a loved one is like under any circumstance. Military families face this emotional plight on a regular basis. Our combined military is made up of over 3.5 million men and women, and over 54% of them are married. Can you imagine being a wife having to say goodbye to a husband that she can only hope and pray comes back to her? Add to that proposition that she may now have children to take care of, and at least temporarily alone. In this week’s podcast we get a first hand account of what that life is like. We get to hear from a military wife with a young son and a deployed husband. This personal testimony should give us all a renewed appreciation for the great sacrifices that our military service people and their families make every single day. They are the reason we have the freedom that can be so easily taken for granted. Listen with an open heart and learn how you can best support these incredible families.
